Other trees

I thought it would be nice to take a look at ’tree’ as a surname. We will be looking for family foundations and/or genealogists on the internet with specifically ’tree’ in the name, so not a name like Hazelaar. There are also a number of such surnames in our family tree such as Boerboom, Vlierboom and Groenenboom.

Sometimes a family used a tree as a surname because such a tree was nearby, but probably also because trees are important to everyone. In the list below are some websites I found, not every family picked their own website or their own family tree. In that case, a website where the name appears has been chosen. The list is not complete because there are many family names that are written differently, for example Peereboom versus Perenboom.
