Family tree research

Is it about the trees or the forest?

Without trees there is no forest, for our research the individual parts are just as important as the whole. Moreover, there are often branches that lie on the ground, it will first have to be found out to which tree they belong. If we see individual names as trees, our family tree alone consists of over 2,200 trees …

Our family tree initially consisted of an IJsselmonde, Groningen and Frisian branch. At the moment we do not know exactly if and where the branches have a relationship with each other. Because the three geographically separated branches are all set up around the family name ‘Sparreboom’, there is nothing against listing them all in one file. Click on the ‘Family tree’ button in the menu to go to a part of our family tree.

From the very beginning of our foundation in 1990, research into our ancestors has been the main goal. This is reflected in almost all Family magazines that the members have received in recent years. Genealogy research is a very time consuming process and must be performed very accurately. On this site we will try to keep track of our information and progress. Contributions from members and non-members (for example other genealogy foundations) are very welcome.
